I'm putting the comm on hold for a while. I had hoped that it would be a bit busier by now and if I needed time away I could absolutely cope with the lists and prompts once a week, but with the quiet I feel like I need to write as well lest the comm be all prompts and no fic.
The quiet, of course, is no one's fault but mine. Promo is not my strong suit :D
I may pick the comm up as is in the future, I may rework it to panfandom (to allow more authors to have a go). I've got some serious thinking about the future of this comm to do. I'd like to make it work.
Feel free to write and continue to post to the comm using the prompts we've had so far. Treat it as an extended amnesty, so to speak 🤣
I can recommend
fan_flashworks as an active, well-modded comm if you want ongoing prompts.
Finally, please say hello in the comments of this post :) I'll be around!

Date: 08/06/2020 07:03 pm (UTC)You didn't ask so if I'm being pushy I apologize but I just wish we had fewer prompts with more time to fill them. Maybe every other week so we have two weeks to write that much. Or maybe an amnesty period.
Thanks for all the work you put in it.

Date: 09/06/2020 08:29 am (UTC)To be completely honest, I decided this *before* the modding got remotely hard. I'm getting better at seeing my boundaries before everything gets on top of me these days ;)
I did do some promo on the promo comms early on, but I always feel like I'm spamming if I repost? Eh, I really do suck at promotion. I'm even an introvert online...
One of the solutions I'm definitely thinking of is to extend the writing period, to two weeks or even a month. Amnesty weeks were always on the cards as well, but I hadn't quite got there ;) As far as I'm concerned, this is an extended, hopefully not indefinite, amnesty period. I know I've got a missed prompt I'd still like to fill from a couple weeks back.

Date: 19/06/2020 12:24 pm (UTC)Vexed seems to have covered anything else I was going to say. Both her and I have modded prompt comms in the past. Modding is hard and it can feel more so when things are slow.
Thank you for all the work you do.
